Facilities

Suhana has 5 state-of-the-art manufacturing units across India.

Processes

All our manufacturing facilities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and are HACCP/ISO Compliant. All processes – procurement and sorting of raw materials, cleaning/drying, grinding, blending and packaging – are certified by relevant national and international agencies.

We have the perfect blend of technology and manual processes. Certain sorting and cutting processes are carried out by hand in order to retain desired integrity of the product.
Before dispatch, random samples from every batch go to the laboratory after they are packaged. This is from every stock keeping unit. They are tested thoroughly for contamination, quality, standardisation of natural colour, aroma, moisture content, etc.

Technology

Our state-of-the-art machinery & processes, which are at par with the best global standards, coupled with a strong team of technical experts, puts Suhana at the forefront of technological innovation in the world of food.
Our team participates in spice industry events and seminars all over the world, to keep abreast with latest developments.
We have waste management systems at all our plants.

Quality Management

We have a strong team of quality management experts with extensive technical expertise in the food industry. We implement stringent quality management practices at every stage of the production line, right from handling the raw materials even before they reach our facilities to final packaging. Workers follow stringent personal hygiene practices, wearing fresh lab-coats, face masks and head-covers. Different spice ingredients are even stored at different rooms / areas to prevent undesired mixing of aromas! All this ensures high-quality production at all times.

Our laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies to ensure adherence to all essential physical, chemical and microbiological parameters. All our packing lines are equipped with metal detectors and magnets that remove even the smallest of metal contaminants from the products that could go in while packaging.

Back in 1962, the visionary, ambitious and enterprising team of Shri. Hukmichand Chordia and Smt. Kamalbai Chordia launched a new line of spices from a modest, home-based set-up. Disillusioned with the state of the spices market in Western India, the couple decided to become masters of their own destiny and revolutionize the way spices were manufactured in the region. Right through our existence, we have placed paramount importance on developing and nurturing deep and lasting relationships. At Suhana, spices are not a simple commodity, but a means to satiate the souls of our customers and create an everlasting bond that lasts for generations.
